SONNET 113
1613(!)--festivities of marriage of Princess Eliz. included fireworks: some were hunting hounds pursuing a hart–Also a great sea battle was staged–Christians against Turks, with “divers… maymed and hurt” and “one lost both his eyes.” The next stanza 114–includes “Palate” as if referring to the groom[?]--from the Palestine[?]

About ’35–Mary fearful of poison. Her ill-suspicions possibly center of plot–[illegible] marry Pole–[illegible] war. Anne’s alchemy feared–
In 1614 Overbury was poisoned by Lady Essex + Somerset–D. used as lawyer
