About this time Cath. interested in reforming educ. for women. Vives writes tract on equal intell. + training

James marries Mary of Guise 18 May, 1538
She [Elizabeth] will be “Ever the Same” but only in his poetry
This year marks last pregnancy of Catherine. After that she goes into menopause. By age 41 [illegible] will not bear heir to Henry. Had six children: only Mary lived.
